Palate: Light to medium intensity. A richer style compared to 2013 but not as full as 2012. Up front Nectarine, honey dew with some underlying wet quartz, citrus and pickled ginger.
Food Match: Beer battered flat head and chips, served in newspaper.
Winemaking: Hand harvested, whole bunch basket pressed and co-fermented because we like wines with texture and good natural fruit acid and flavour balance. Which is essentially exactly what we did last year. We also added 100 litres or so of 100% whole bunch, barrel fermented, extended skin contact Viognier.
