The Champagne shows a deep salmon pink color with its brightness enhanced by very fine bubbles that
form a sparkling white ring of exceptionally persistent bubbles at the surface of the glass.
The delicate and elegant nose boasts mouth-watering aromas reminiscent of red fruits such as
strawberries or redcurrants, enhanced by floral hints.
The palate shows power, combined with delicious aromas of small red berries and cherries. This
seductive and generous wine offers lots of freshness, a fine texture and a beautiful length.
The finish is stylish and long.
Composition of the Cuvee ”“ Great terroirs from The Marne
Deutz Brut Rose 2009 is made from Pinot noir (80%) and Chardonnay (20%).
The vineyards, or crus, that supply the Pinot Noir are a gage of its qualities: Ay, Mareuil-sur-Ay, Bouzy and
Verzenay. They epitomise the subtle and yet powerful qualities of the finest pinot noirs in Champagne.
The style of this wine and its colour owe a lot to the incorporation into the blend of 8% red wine made by
Deutz from a plot of old vines on the hillside at Ay ”“ a plot known as « La Pelle » – and other specific plots
at Mareuil-sur-Ay: « Cumaine » and « Charmont ».
After ageing in perfect conditions, the aromatic maturity and the harmony of all the components of this very
fine wine encouraged us to put it on the market just four years after its date of harvest. It is true to its lineage
of Deutz vintage rose wines.
Brut Rose Millesime 2009 can be enjoyed as an aperitif, and will go perfectly with the fine and delicate meat
of a red snapper, duck with cranberry sauce, or pigeon cooked with cherries. If matched with dessert, one
could try a strawberry charlotte.
