ANSTED&CO. is the personal project of Tobias Ansted. The wines are a testament to his belief that great wine is made in the vineyard. The grapes for the ANSTED&CO. wines come from a site in the Bendigo region of Central Victoria chosen for its altitude, easterly aspect and granite soil. Vineyard management aims to promote balanced vines using techniques such as shoot thinning and trimming, green harvest and crop reduction to less than 2 t/acre. The focus is on the Northern Rhone varieties of Shiraz, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne. The winemaking aims to express the unique character of the site using a combination of old and new world techniques. Tobias is dedicated to crafting complex, balanced wines which reflect their origins.
